29 before 30

I've been making these for 4 years now (time flies!!!).  I think they are so fun! :)

1. Make something special :)


2. Take a road trip (Austin, TX?) *I guess Savage Gulf + Nashville counts ;) AND the BABYMOON was way better


3. Redo the condo + studio (paint, carpet?, clean, organize) here


4. Keep running at least 2 days a week (hopefully 3) *I did until the weather got cold + I got pregnant :)


5. Finish the wedding quilt (it's almost done...just needs binding) *I finished this one for my mom


6. Bake Zac oatmeal cookies for no reason


7. Make a "scrapbook" on the road for our Ft. Lauderdale trip *Didn't happen


8. Go to the haunted corn maze or a hauted house *Didn't happen


9. Ride the rootop ferris wheel *Didn't happen


10. Laugh so hard you cry


11. Write a love letter


12. Go fishing


13. Celebrate 2 years of marriage here and here


14. Fill another sketchbook


15. Dance + not care who's watching


16. Write a poem


17. Read (at least) 3 new books


18. Fill a journal with paint


19. FInish the granny square slippers already (seriously!)


20. Run a 5K in under 30 minutes *Got close


21. Take someone by surprise here


22. Do something that scares you (out of your comfort zone)


23. Make s'mores here


24. Go on a hiking trip here


25. Eat or make a 4 course meal Did it on my 30th b'day :)


26. Skinny Dip (!!!)  here


27. Hang wedding photos + new prints, etc. here


28. Assess your fears


29. Make a painting...cut it up...leave it in random public places

The Greenbrier

We had a much needed getaway last weekend.  I was rewarded at work with a trip to The Greenbrier.  I've never been to West Virginia before + it was beautiful; I wish we had gotten to see more.  We only had one full day there + so we stayed at the resort the whole time.  There was so  much to see + do.  I could have taken pictures all day long (which I pretty much did). 

• We celebrated Zac's 29th birthday (I almost forgot that morning with the rush to the airport).


• Flew to Atlanta, then Roanoke + then took the shortest flight (10 minutes) to Lewisburg (tinest airport we've ever seen).  Which Delta left out that we even had to do that, haha.  Thanks.


• Checked in + had lunch at Draper's.  We felt like we were in a dollhouse.


• Amazed by the beautiful Dorothy Draper decor.


• Went on a walk.


• Dinner with my company on Kate's mountain + listened to a comedian.


• Ate a Greenbrier peach.


• Zac played golf while I had the best spa experience of my life.


• Peppermint tea with a slice of orange= heaven.


• Walked the springhouse row.


• Had lunch by the pool at Treetops. 


• Drank the yummiest frozen coconut mojito. (I can cross off "try 3 new drinks" on the summer manifesto list *only 1eft)


• Relaxed by the pool until a storm came in.


• Enjoyed listening to the rain + thunder.


• Had afternoon tea.


• Went on a bunker tour + felt like I was in school again.


• Put on our fancy clothes for a fancy dinner at The Main Dining Room.


• Felt like we went back in time.


• Woke up way to early to sit at the airport for hours because of fog.


• Flew first class back home.

A Little Bit Of... My Weekend

Drove to Jackson, TN to visit my grandparents.

Got to see my sis in law, neice, cousins, uncle + aunt in law.

Enjoyed all of the beautiful trees, shrubs + flowers in bloom. I have always LOVED dandelions. I used to call them "blow-blows" haha. They always make me happy. I wished on one, but I can't tell what I wished for or it won't come true ;)

Had the best road trip buddy- sweet Vera.

Ate a chocolate dipped cone from Dairy Queen.

Listened to Jessica Lea Mayfield.

Sang along.

Wished she played longer.

Held hands.
