A Little Bit Of…Our New Home

I will admit, moving has been filled with highs and lows.  I'm a little resistant to change and I love to have things in "order".  Both of those don't mix well with moving.  I hate to say I'm resistant to change because I think change is great, but it does tend to make me anxious.  At first I was just so excited and focused on the new house, decorating, organizing...all the fun stuff.  Then, a few days after we moved all the big furniture, I went back to the condo to see all kinds of "stuff".  I became ashamed, upset, stressed about all that I had collected in my 7 years of living by myself.  This wasn't Zac's stuff (he was willing to help) but it was all MINE and then I felt overwhelmed.  There has been lots of throwing away, piles to donate, and we are making ourselves be finished by tomorrow.  It's hard to let go.  I am making a goal to be better this time around.  I don't know what I was thinking but I thought moving was going to be easy and I didn't have that much stuff.   Wow, was I wrong!  I am now trying to keep things paired down, necessary and simplify my life.  I've always liked the idea of when you bring something home, take something out.  I'm sticking to that.  

We are so fortunate, our dreams are coming true and I am grateful.  I know everything will come together and get done.  Little by little.  Baby steps.

A Little Bit Of...This Week

Zac, my mom + I went to the Americanarama Festival at AutoZone Park on Tuesday night.  We saw My Morning Jacket, Wilco and Bob Dylan.  I knew it wouldn't be a "true" concert experience, but it was fun.  We decided to grab some seats in the shade and enjoy the music (even thought we were pretty far away).

On the 4th of July we spent the day relaxing and running a few errands.  That night we made dinner and watched the fireworks.  Poor Vera was not a fan this year.  She stayed snuggled next to us most of the time :) 

21 Weeks

We took these pictures on Mother's Day :)  We went to Shelby Farms to see the baby bison and go for a little walk.  It was really special celebrating my first Mother's Day, but I can't wait until next year when I get to actually celebrate with my baby boy in my arms.  Zac got me the sweetest card and necklace.  Baby button gave me the best gift which was some movement that I could actually feel and knew it was him.

This week I've been able to feel baby moving around more.  He is more active at night.  Zac felt the baby move (5/14/13).  So exciting!!! :)  We are going on our babymoon to Jackson Hole, WY.  We can't wait to relax and explore.  We love traveling together.  It will be our first trip with the three of us or our last trip just the two of us depending on how you look at it.  Yay ♥

19 Weeks

I can't believe I'm almost halfway through.  I am LOVING being pregnant except for a few aches and pains, but they are totally worth it.  I am so excited to feel the baby kick and know it's him.  I also can't wait for Zac to be able to feel him too :)  So far I've just had a few flutters every now and then.

We went to Nashville on Friday and it was baby button's first road trip :)  We saw The Flaming Lips and The Black Keys.  I'm pretty sure he was wondering what in the world was going on and I could feel him moving around, haha.  Today I started making a quilt and Zac painted the nursery.
