This month we sketched inside Idlewild Presbyterian Church since it was so hot outside. I've never been inside before and it was beautiful. I love older churches. It was probably one of the most quiet places I've ever sketched until a lady started practicing on the organ. I read later that it was built by the Bedient Pipe Organ Company, and was designed after the precepts of 18th and early 19th century organs in France.
These are lovely! I used to sketch all the time when I was still in school but I almost never do anymore - thanks for the reminder that I totally need to start again:)
ReplyDeleteWe meet once a month so I try to sketch that much at least. I also carry around a pocket sketchbook and pencil for when the mood strikes ;) Have you heard of the sketchbook project? That might be fun to get you started. I signed up again.
