Our low key 4th of July

Yay! I finally found the other tomato. It was driving me insane, haha. I thought I had dreamed it.

I was so excited when I saw that we had two TWO(!) tomatoes growing this past week.  I told Zac + then we couldn't find the second one.  He told me I had dreamed it + I was convinced, until I got a happy surprise yesterday :)  It had fallen behind the fence + needed to be wired to stay up.  We bought too small of a cage + have had to resort to wiring it to our fence.

#run on independence day :)There were tons of dragonflies too :)

That afternoon we went running on the Wolf River Greenway.  It was so hot + humid, but it felt good to get out and enjoy nature.  We saw tons of dragonflies (in that clearing [in the picture above]) + two deer (picture below)!!!

Saw two deer on our run. So cool!

We made dinner together + then walked up the street to watch the fireworks.  I love being so close to a great viewing spot, otherwise we probably wouldn't have watched them.

4th of july

Lucky that we can walk to see the fireworks :)

Happy 4th from usVera was so scared she jumped in bed last night, haha. Poor thing.

Our neighbors were shooting off LOUD fireworks that sounded like bombs, haha.  Vera was so scared she jumped in bed with me.  Poor thing.  We enjoyed the snugglefest though.  I don't usually let her on the bed :)

  1. Aww congrats on the tomatoes! I gave up tryingto grow anything since it all just dies within days. I don't have my mom's magic touch at all =/ or I could blame NYC for rocky soil. I loved all of your pics!! Very cute family! I did nothing on 4th of July, we just watched some tv and a movie and went on the roof to watch the fireworks. Our neighbors went all out but we also were able to see the Macy's ones as well. =)

  5. You're fourth of July sounds lovely. We went tubing on a river and were so tuckered out we didn't even watch the fireworks. We're old people now. I'm so excited for your tomatoes! Hooray for summer gardens.
