Ft. Lauderdale

I've been meaning to post this for a while now...

Last month Zac + I went to visit his Dad in Ft. Lauderdale.  It was a short trip + I was sick for most of it :( but we had fun.  One day we drove to Shark Valley in the Everglades.  We rented bikes + rode the 15 mile loop.  I wasn't sure if we would see any alligators or not.  Then we saw lots of them!  Zac was really good at finding them.  I couldn't believe it.  We even saw one eat a snake!  At the halfway point there was an observation tower and a side trail.  The trail had 2 huge alligators blocking it, so we couldn't go far haha.  It was crazy.  We saw lots of pretty birds too.  Here are some of my photos:

   
 
 
 

 

 

 

The last few miles we biked were so hard.  We were exhausted, hungry, thristy + fighting the wind.  On the way home we stopped at this place in Miami called El Mago De Las Fritas.  It is a cuban burger joint + Obama ate there recently.  We ordered fritas w/ no cheese :)  They were pretty good.
